ATN offered personalised careers advice and guidance for customers over the age of 19. This project was designed to help customers with their career plans, give support to review their existing skill set and help to equip customers with new skills and abilities that will be beneficial to them in their job search. 

Customers had a chance to meet with an advisor who will provided them with tailored advice to help them to reach their career goals and targets. After meeting with an advisor, customers were offered a place on one of our training programmes where they had an opportunity to achieve an accredited qualification.

Our training programmes included:

Health and Safety Training Level 2

Professional training which resulted in an accredited qualification in Health & Safety
This improved customers knowledge and skills and helped to make workplaces healthier and safer for everyone to improve long-term business performance.

Food Safety Training Level 2

Professional training which resulted in an accredited qualification in Food Safety
This improved customers knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of food hygiene and helped customers to gain an awareness on how to work safely so as to protect the food served from contamination.

IT Training

This was suitable for beginners and for those who wanted to develop existing skills, to gain knowledge on Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and basic computer usage

Functional Skills Qualification in English and Mathematics, Entry Levels 1, 2 & 3 and Levels 1 & 2

These courses were designed to give customers the essential skills needed for everyday life, work and education.

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)

This helped customers improve their English with an ESOL Skills for Life Certificate and gain English Language Skills that is needed to get on in life and work

ESOL Skills for Life was for anyone living in the UK whose first language in not English
